Association
The Polish Platform for Homeland Security Association was established in 2006 in order to obtain legal personality for the Polish Platform for Homeland Security (PPHS) and to be able to carry out research and development projects, as well as other undertakings, and to perform legal activities in compliance with law.
It is a registered association in the meaning of the Act on Associations, established by the founding members and registered in the National Court Register.
The Association functions on the basis of its charter.
The governing bodies of the PPHS Association are:
- Management Board – the executive body that represents the Association outside;
- Audit Committee – the body supervising the activities of the Association;
- General Meeting of the Members of the Association – the supreme authority of the Association and the resolution-passing body having powers e.g. to determine the main directions of action and development of the Association, to make changes to the charter, to elect all governing bodies of the Association, etc.
The Association has also established the function of Honorary President of the Association’s Management Board who has a casting vote in the event of an equal number of votes among the Management Board’s members.
