Businesses must more and more often answer the question of how to effectively protect themselves against dishonest business partners. This question is particularly important to companies that conduct activities specified in Appendices no. 11 and 13 to the Act on goods and services tax, which are required by law to ensure due diligence in selecting their business partners.
This is because without due diligence, even unintentional involvement in the so-called “tax carousel” fraud may result in criminal law sanctions.
This is why we have prepared our training offer addressed to representatives of accounting companies and tax offices, experts from law and financial-accounting departments, and business executives and company owners in the fuel, steel mill, metal trade, and scrap metal purchase sectors who want to gain or expand their knowledge about due diligence – the procedures to follow, the case law, VAT fraud, legal norms, and amendments to the Act on goods and services tax adopted in 2015 and 2016.
The upcoming training session, titled “Due diligence in conducting business activities” will be held in Poznań on 30 January 2017. The attendees who complete the training will receive certificates issued by the Polish Platform for Homeland Security.
