Summary of the RADPol2020 conference

The conference “Radicalisation in Central and Eastern Europe – trends, challenges and opportunities to counteract” (RADPol2020) was held in the online formula on three Thursdays – 18th June 2020; 25th June 2020 and 2nd July 2020. The event was a joint initiative of three European projects: MINDb4ACT, CHAMPIONs and BRAVE.

RADPol2020 offered three separate webinars and four experts’ panels. The first Webinar – a Research Day, focused on the practical presentation of the results of MINDb4ACT, CHAMPIONs and BRAVE. The theme of presentations was the message “what research projects offer to practitioners?” During the second Webinar, in a form of a Policy Event, the current trends on radicalisation and right-wing extremism in Central and Eastern Europe were discussed. The last RADPol2020 Webinar was a Policy Event on improving policy and practice tackling radicalisation and violent extremism in Central and Eastern Europe as well as about the role of gender role in the context of extremism.


RADPol2020 - overview

In total the RADPol2020 gathered 200 participants and 21 speakers, expert in this field. The event was attended by different organisations interested in the topic, including representatives of public institutions, law enforcement agencies, other security practitioners in the field, universities, students, research organisations, non-governmental bodies, industry and others.

The rich contribution of the speakers and the numerous and active participation of the participants made the event a success. We thank to all participants for being part of the RADPol2020 conference!

    Posiadam szeroki zakres umiejętności, który pozwala mi realizować różnorodne zadania, takie jak tworzenie treści (teksty, zdjęcia, wideo), planowanie strategii komunikacyjnych i procesów, budowanie społeczności i relacji, a także administrowanie platformami online.

    Senior Communication Specialist at the Polish Platform for Homeland Security

    I’ve been working at PPHS since November 2017. For a long time, I was responsible for implementing both international and national security projects. As PPHS developed and the Communication Department was established, I was promoted to a role focused entirely on communication.

    I currently serve as the Communication & Dissemination Manager for EU-funded security projects. My responsibilities also include managing the online channels run by PPHS and supporting the team with ongoing tasks.

    I have a broad set of skills, enabling me to handle a variety of tasks such as content creation (texts, photos, videos), communication and process planning, community and relationship building, as well as managing online platforms.
