On 16 January 2020, a kick-off meeting of “SNAPPY project – Database of Standardized Prevention Programs” took place in Warsaw. The event was attended by representatives of the project’s Administrator from the Department of Prevention of the Police Headquarters, as well as consortium members: Polish Platform for Homeland Security (Leader), Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and SNP Poland sp. z o.o.
The work program and members of the project team were presented during the meeting. Discussions between the Administrator and the contractors resulted in determining the details of further actions. During the event, issues related to the functionality of the created database were raised. Additionally, the participants defined the project’s end users and indicated levels of access and related requirements. Thanks to the joint discussions, the Administrator’s expectations were recognized, which will have an impact on the final interface of the Database.
SNAPPY is financed by the National Center for Research and Development within a defense and security program. The objective of the project is to create a Database of Standardized Prevention Programs. The tool is to facilitate cataloguing, inventorying, standardization and reporting on conducted programs and prevention actions by the Police Units from all over the country, as well as other state and local institutions.
