How can EU research and innovation help tackle security threats? This will be the key focus of the upcoming Security Research Event (SRE), taking place on 24–25 June in Warsaw at EXPO XXI.
The conference is dedicated to industry representatives, policymakers, safety and security practitioners, research institutions, and critical infrastructure operators. SRE responds to the urgent need to redefine EU priorities and investment areas in light of shifting geopolitical dynamics, technological advancements, and climate change.
Why Join?
The main theme of the 2025 edition is Boosting security through EU-based innovation. Research and innovation play a vital role in safeguarding fundamental rights, upholding democratic values, and addressing modern security challenges. That’s why, as PPHS, we will once again take part in the event – and we encourage all interested stakeholders to join us. The registration link is available below.
The SRE 2025 agenda includes:
- Five thematic panels
- The first implementation dialogue on the challenges facing the EU’s security industry competitiveness and the uptake of innovation
- An exhibition area with over 50 booths
- The Security Innovation Award Ceremony
This is an excellent opportunity to meet in Poland, currently holding the Presidency of the Council of the European Union under the slogan "Security, Europe!" – a motto fully aligned with the spirit of SRE 2025.
