We organised the webinar on counteracting radicalisation and data protection policies under the European R4JUST project on 28-29 June, 2021. In total, the event was attended by 341 specialists, such as prison staff, probation officers, prosecutors, judges and lawyers.
During the first day of the meeting Marzena Kordaczuk-Was, PhD, who is the PPHS’s expert on radicalisation prevention, gave a presentation on building awareness of counter-radicalisation intervention by prison, probation and judicial staff. The second day was dedicated to raising awareness of EU policies, recommendations, and priorities on the field of radicalisation among criminal justice professionals, law enforcement officials, and other related sectors working closely with this area. This part was led by Jakub Horn – the PPHS’s attorney-at-law.
Each day there was a moderated discussion panel dedicated to the subject of the webinar. The event addressed needs and expectations of the participants, who have provided us with very positive feedback. As the next step, the R4JUST project team is planning to conduct a multisector online training for prison staff, probation officers, prosecutors, judges and lawyers.
