Sector Skills Council for Protection and Safety of Property and Persons

The security and protection sector in Poland is now at a turning point. Challenges such as rapidly advancing automation, increasing responsibility for critical infrastructure and the growing complexity of threats call for a new approach.
This is why the Sectoral Council for Competences – Protection and Security of People and Property have been launched. This ongoing Polish initiative brings together representatives of security-sector companies, public administration and experts in fields such as physical, technical and organisational security. The Council functions within the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) as an advisory and consultative body.
Its goal, among other things, is to identify competence needs in the fields of safety and security, and to create cohesive standards of education and qualifications to provide the highest possible quality and professionalism of staff. Thanks to this, the Council can respond more effectively to dynamically changing threats and growing social demands.
As part of the Council, the Polish Platform for Homeland Security is one of the leading partners, coordinating selected substantive and organisational activities. PPHS’s tasks include, among other things:
