Innovation Procurement of Advanced Technologies for Safe Remote Vehicle Stopping by Law Enforcement
The main aim of INTERCEPT is to enhance the capabilities of European law enforcement authorities and provide them with effective means to safely stop vehicles remotely. We initiated our actions in response to the needs reported by security forces with a focus on vehicles that pose imminent and high-security threats to citizens and society. There are still serious challenges with the early detection of potentially dangerous situations; monitoring detected events, and coordinating security forces’ response.
The project team, together with security stakeholders, will identify technology gaps to be addressed to reduce existing vulnerabilities and improve security efficiency. Based on this, a security use case and related challenges will be defined. These will form the foundation for conducting a Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) project, during which specific solutions will be developed. Learn more about PCP here.
The INTERCEPT project stems from the work carried out in the i-LEAD project. Following discussions between procurement teams and experts in stopping vehicles, a joint technical specification for a solution to stop motor vehicles remotely was prepared. However, it became clear that no electronic or electrical device could universally stop all vehicles, leading to the decision for a PCP action to support the required advancements. INTERCEPT is a project that will lay solid foundations for this procurement initiative.
Consolidating demand for innovative security technologies
We will extract common security needs from a range of public buyers who share a chain of security processes.
Better informed decision-making related to investment in innovative security technologies
A value of INTERCEPT is the consideration and visibility of the potential EU-based supply of technical alternatives that reflect the demand in the EU market for common security technologies.
Increasing the innovation capacity of EU public procurers
INTERCEPT will achieve this through broad access to consolidated practices, guidelines and aligning commonly shared requirements with market innovators and their innovations. The work will be facilitated through common validation strategies, rapid innovation, experimentation and a Pre-Commercial Procurement action.

Dołączyłem do Platformy w listopadzie 2017 roku.
I’ve been working at PPHS since November 2017. For a long time, I was responsible for implementing both international and national security projects. As PPHS developed and the Communication Department was established, I was promoted to a role focused entirely on communication.
I currently serve as the Communication & Dissemination Manager for EU-funded security projects. My responsibilities also include managing the online channels run by PPHS and supporting the team with ongoing tasks.
I have a broad set of skills, enabling me to handle a variety of tasks such as content creation (texts, photos, videos), communication and process planning, community and relationship building, as well as managing online platforms.
