Promoting fair trials by prioritising respect for procedural rights

FULL-PROOF: "Ensuring the due course of criminal proceedings via strengthened respect for the procedural rights of the suspect and the accused" aims to improve criminal justice procedures by addressing breaches of procedural rights during the early stages of justice processes. Specifically, it focuses on the rights outlined in Directive 2012/13/EU, Directive 2013/48/EU, and Directive 2016/1919/EU.
The project will collaborate with police officers and lawyers to raise awareness and enhance their understanding of how to work effectively with suspects and the accused. By analysing common breaches in the implementation of these Directives and building on best practices, the project will create a framework to replicate successful approaches. It will also streamline the use of existing tools and materials to better support professionals and encourage international communication.
PPHS will lead FULL-PROOF’s dissemination efforts by creating a dissemination and sustainability plan to guide how project activities are shared. PPHS will also develop a Dissemination Toolkit and a unified visual identity to ensure consistent communication and highlight EU funding. This includes designing templates, consolidating the project’s identity, and creating a website to serve as the main repository for project information and public outputs (website development will be funded separately by the beneficiary).
PPHS will also lead the stakeholder mapping process, organising two international cross-border workshops for LEAs as awareness and capacity-building events and coordinate an international cross-professional seminar to increase mutual understanding and communication.
Throughout the project, FULL-PROOF aims to directly engage 280 stakeholders, ensuring meaningful impact and widespread dissemination of its findings and tools.
