Description

ENLETS brings together representatives from 30 European Union member states. The main task of the Network is to monitor security technologies, disseminate best practices among European law enforcement agencies, engage in the process of co-development of modern tools for fighting crime and initiate R&D projects. ENLETS is supported by National Contact Points (NCPs), which are direct liaisons between the individual member states and the Core Groups, which are responsible for coordination of the work.

Furthermore, another important element of ENLETS is the thematic working groups (Technology Interest Groups), which bring together representatives of individual European services, who are at the same time practitioners and experts in selected technologies. This form of cooperation currently includes working groups on the following topics: operational centres, counter-unmanned aerial vehicles, public order and green policing. More working groups will be created in the future.

PPHS's role:

The Polish Platform for Homeland Security (PPHS) serves as the Secretariat of the ENLETS network, ensuring the efficient operation and coordination of this European network of technological law enforcement services. The organisation is responsible for facilitating effective communication among members, supporting the exchange of information, and providing access to knowledge essential for developing innovative solutions in the field of internal security. PPHS plays a key role in maintaining the smooth flow of expertise, organising information processes, and fostering collaboration between experts, institutions, and international partners. Through this work, the ENLETS network can effectively achieve its goals related to innovation and technologies that support public safety.
