Operations conducted by intelligence agencies include the acquisition and analysis of information originating from open sources, including audio video and audio materials. The use of archived information requires excellent organization and, most importantly, plenty of time, which makes it very costly. Consequently, there is a need for a system that would enable gathering, cataloguing, and, as a result, multi-criteria search of the gathered video and audio materials.
The main purpose of the project is to develop and implement the EMMA 22 information technology system that will facilitate and speed up the acquisition, archiving, cataloguing, indexing, and multi-criteria search of materials originating from mass media, in particular television and radio channels. The system is intended to ensure the possibility of use of archived data in a short time and without high costs and to increase flexibility of access to such data.
