Description

The terminal to be developed will be used to provide telephone services and broadband data transmission services, to include Internet and Intranet access (secure VPN tunneling). The terminal will ensure full flexibility in access to landline and wireless networks and, consequently, will significantly increase the availability of services in all conditions. Access to the UMTS/HSPA network will enable the fastest data transmission in areas where operators offer 3G infrastructure, while access to the CDMA2000 network will enable voice transmission and broadband data transmission where UMTS/HSPA networks are not available, as well as services with guaranteed availability or dispatch services which, unlike the GSM network, are offered by some CDMA2000 network operators.

The key target characteristics of the system to be developed include reliability of connections, guaranteed confidentiality of the data, and cohesive management.

Goals

The objective of the project is to develop and implement a prototype innovative telecommunication terminal intended for secure voice and data transmission services based on GSM/UMTS/HSPA and CDMA2000 Rev. A commercial wireless networks, as well as landline IP/VoIP networks.
