Professor Emil W. Plywaczewski appointed as a member of the “Nobel Prize in Criminology” jury

We are very happy to inform you that Professor Emil W. Plywaczewski, the Head Coordinator of the Polish Platform for Homeland Security, has become a member of the jury awarding the Stockholm Prize in Criminology, which is often referred to as “Nobel Prize in Criminology”.

The prize is awarded by an international jury composed of outstanding criminologists. The prize can be received for outstanding achievements in criminological research or for use of results of research to fight crime and to promote human rights.

Professor Emil. W. Plywaczewski is the Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bialystok and an academic worker at the Police Academy in Szczytno. He has been actively involved in the work of the PPHS since it was established. In 2018, he became the honoris causa doctor of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. His research interests include organized crime, money laundering, corruption, criminal policy, and public security.
