FULL-PROOF
Knowing procedural rights is a cornerstone of fair, just and timely proceedings. Yet, this is only part of the picture. What really matters is understanding when and why these rights apply, as well as how they should be effectively safeguarded throughout the proceedings.
FULL-PROOF is a European project focused on strengthening procedural rights and their effective application in criminal proceedings. Our organisation is a partner in the project, which brings together expertise from across Europe to help bridge the gap between procedural rights in theory and their application in practice. As part of the partnership, the Polish Platform for Homeland Security is responsible for coordinating the project’s communication and dissemination activities, supporting the visibility of its resources, results and practical tools among professionals and wider audiences.
One way to explore these issues is through the FULL-PROOF Right to Know Quizzes. Put your knowledge of procedural rights to the test and see how well you know their practical application.
The quizzes focus on six areas: interpretation and translation, the right to information, access to a lawyer, legal aid, the presumption of innocence and the right to be present at trial, and special safeguards for children. They are available in eight languages: English, Bulgarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak and Slovenian.
