PPHS has participated in the conference on terrorism prevention

The online conference “Protect by Training. The importance of awareness in terrorism prevention” was held on January 19-20, 2021. The event was organised by the ABW’s Terrorism Prevention Centre of Excellence. One of the speakers was Rashel Talukder, PPHS’ Managing Director.

The main aim of the conference was to discuss the results of the EU PO WER project carried out by the ABW TPCoE and to discuss the issue of raising anti-terrorism awareness in the society. The role of the media in terrorist prevention was also explained. During 4 working sessions, the following topics were detailed described:

• Building terrorism prevention awareness in the society (topic: Polish and European approaches to CT and P/CVE awareness raising);
• Building terrorism prevention awareness in media (topic: using media as a means to convey CT awareness to a broad audience from various age, social, cultural groups);
• Strategic approach to terrorism prevention in media (topic: executive point of view on CT & media, best practices and day-to-day challenges);
• Terrorism prevention in social media – (topic: possible solutions, new methods, trends of terrorism threats prevention in social media – social campaigns etc.).

The conference was attended by the representatives of European LEAs, public administration and other institutions dealing with security.
