We are pleased to announce that we are strengthening our collaboration with the Polish Association for National Security (PTBN). We will cooperate on trainings, organisation of events and preparation of grant applications in the field of critical infrastructure and the fight against terrorism.
The Polish Association for National Security is an interdisciplinary scientific institution that brings together researchers dealing with various fields of public security, including the protection of critical infrastructure, counteracting terrorism and analysing social media in terms of disinformation.
So far, Polish Platform for Homeland Security and PTBN have jointly participated in the implementation of the EU-HYBNET project – a Pan-European Network to Counter Hybrid Threats. Currently, the scope of our cooperation is expanding. For both organisations, prevention is one of the most important elements of building security. Therefore, we will look together for methods of raising awareness and preventing hybrid threats, attacks on critical infrastructure, as well as terrorist acts.
PTBN’s activities are not limited to theoretical dissertations on national security. The fact is, the Association brings together experts, lecturers and other representatives of the scientific world who provide valuable analyses, reports and opinions in the field of internal security. However, the institution is also involved in organising workshops, taking an active part in public debate and conducting awareness-raising activities on social media (proposing, for example, a series of educational flashcards: #PTBNedu).
Due to the convergent goals of our organisations, the field for cooperation is very broad, and our plans are ambitious. We will inform you about the first effects of our activities soon. At the same time, we encourage you to subscribe to our newsletter not to miss any news!
