As a part of MINDb4ACT activities the Polish Platform for Homeland Security is organizing an online webinar: “Building awareness and undertaking early intervention in urban areas. Detecting radicalisation processes and initiating interdisciplinary cooperation”, which will be held on July, 8, 8:30-9:30 am.
This webinar is directed to representants of Polish urban areas, which are interested in radicalisation issues. Especially, are invited to participate representatives of the public security sector, prison service, judicial, central and local government administration, academic sector, as well as education, social assistance, and NGOs.
The meeting will take the form of an hour webinar, in which participants will learn what radicalisation is, learn its models, how to recognize symptoms, and how to react and counteract this phenomenon. Also, they will know the factors that cause vulnerability to radicalisation. The expert will show good practices regarding the interdisciplinary cooperation of local entities and the crucially of the local action plan.
The webinar will be led by Marzena Kordaczuk-Wąs, PhD, PPHS expert on countering radicalisation, with many years of experience in this area both in Poland and Europe (Leader of the Working Group ‘Police and Law Enforcement’ Radicalisation Awareness Network and CEPOL expert – the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training).
