LION DC: 2nd webinar on cryptocurrencies for the Polish Police

The second edition of the webinar on cryptocurrencies for the Polish Police organised as a part of the European LION DC project was held on 26-27 May 2021. The event was conducted by the Polish Platform for Homeland Security in cooperation with the Criminal Bureau of the Polish National Police and the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdansk.

Similarly to the first webinar, its scope covered the use of cryptocurrencies in investigative activities, with a particular focus on online drug crimes. Both theoretical and practical aspects related to using digital currencies by criminals were among presented topics.

In total, over 300 police officers from all over Poland, specialised in mainly tackling economic crimes, have been registered for the webinar. Each of them received online access to the training materials and the video recording of the event. The participants of the first and second editions of the events positively assessed substantive aspects and organisational issues of the webinars for the Polish Police.
