Project Manager:

  • Dr. Marek Kisiel-Dorohinicki.

The institutions performing the project:

  • Stanislaw Staszic AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, Faculty of Computer Science – Project Leader;
  • Gridwise Tech Sp. z o.o.;
  • Hi-Tech Energy Systems Sp. z o.o.;
  • WASKO S.A.

Project objective:

The objective of the project (named LINK 2) is to develop and implement solutions to enable broadening the area and increasing the effectiveness of the computer support to criminal intelligence analysis, mostly by expanding the existing LINK and Mamut applications. The outcome of the project will be an integrated LINK 2 environment offering a range of services that will meet the contemporary needs of criminal intelligence analysis.

Project description:

The solutions to be developed will be used to conduct analyses (using state-of-the-art visualization methods) of flow of people and goods as well as transfer of electronic mail messages and attachments. The system will also enable criminal intelligence analysis of geographic location data available at the Central Geodesy and Cartography Office. The outcomes of the project are intended to facilitate strategic analyses using advanced visualization techniques and databases available to security and law enforcement agencies. On the other hand, the development, in the framework of the project, of advanced analytical algorithms will enable the user to find specific patterns in order to detect certain occurrences and relationships. The objective of the project is to develop the LINK 2 environment intended for conducting analyses of data in various areas and for being used in various types of criminal intelligence analysis.
