The Polish Platform for Homeland Security invites to the workshop “Family mediation as a way to resolve conflicts” that will take place on 10 September 2018 in Bydgoszcz. The meeting will be led by Judge Anna Maria Wesolowska, a well-known authority in the field of law, who for many years has been cooperating with the PPBW in the area of broadly understood legal education of the society, also in the field of family mediation.

The workshop is addressed to employees of civil services, probation officers, members of interdisciplinary teams for counteracting domestic violence, coordinators of foster care and mediation coordinators. The goal of the workshop is to disseminate knowledge about family mediation and to show how it can be used as an alternative way to resolve disputes. Practice shows that in comparison to court proceedings it is often a faster method and, what is extremely important, allows for a comprehensive solution of the conflict. Participants of the workshop “Family mediation as a way of resolve conflicts” will be familiarized with work models, ways of conducting mediation sessions, interventions techniques, and assessment of readiness of parties to join mediation.
