The Demagog Association hosted a training session on information verification at PPHS. Patryk Zakrzewski, an organisation representative, conducted the training with two teams between October 17 and 18.
Demagog’s aims to combat fake news and provide citizens with trustworthy information. Their mission is to educate the public in order to improve the quality of public debate in Poland. The coordinator of the Fact-Checking Academy prepared cases to assist us in improving our team’s work.
We worked on three thematic panels: prebunking, using verification tools and verifying information source credibility. The training was based on substantive materials and research, and the knowledge was delivered to us in the form of quizzes and interactive exercises. We also used our experience, which allowed us to quickly process the topics discussed.
PPHS team members were able to gain a substantial amount of knowledge thanks to the pleasant atmosphere and good workshop techniques. The team will undoubtedly apply this knowledge at work and in their personal lives.
Below are some photos from the training and you can learn more about the Demagog Association’s educational offer by visiting their website.
