Purpose of the project:

The main purpose of the project is to develop and implement the EMMA 22 information technology system that will facilitate and speed up acquisition, archiving, cataloging, indexing, and multi-criteria search of materials originating from mass media, in particular television and radio channels. The system is intended to ensure possibility of use of archived data in a short time and without high costs, and to increase flexibility of access to such data.

Description of the project:

Operations conducted by intelligence agencies include acquisition and analysis of information originating from open sources, including audio-video and audio materials. The use of archived information required excellent organization and, most importantly, plenty of time, which makes it very costly.Consequently, there is a need for a system that would enable gathering, cataloging, and, as a result, multi-criteria search of the gathered video and audio materials.
