We visited the French Embassy in Warsaw to promote the Platform’s activities during the French Security Day on April 18. In this way, we continue our cooperation with French partners after the previous meeting that was held in September 2022.
The guest of honour was Mr Frédéric Billet, the Ambassador of France in Poland, who gave the welcoming speech. The event provided the opportunity to share joint experiences in the area of security and present challenges related to the border protection based on actions undertaken by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex). Representatives of Polish uniformed services, such us the Border Guard, Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime and State Fire Service, also shared their expertise.
Amongst the speakers were representatives of companies from France specialised in security solutions. We have already met some of them during the implementation of numerous international activities. Taking into account the invited institutions and individuals, we were very glad to be present there. Marek Wierzbicki, former deputy Director of the International Police Cooperation Bureau of the Polish Police who served in Interpol too, was in Warsaw on behalf of PPHS. He cooperates with us as the advisor and expert in the field of analysis and criminal intelligence.
During his speech, the participants were familiarised with the main actions undertaken by PPHS, including the implemented projects, both past and planned conferences, and also current activities in the trainings’ area. Amongst the announced meetings were the next editions of the CINTiA Analytical Conference and “Cybercrime.3 – Technologies”. Additionally, the completely new international event dedicated to radicalisation tackling was introduced.
Last months showed how important the intense cooperation with our international partners is. Such initiatives have great impact on strengthening relations and influence the European security system.
