„Dark number of crimes – crimes against women”- a conference under the patronage of PPHS
We cordially invite you for the second scientific conference in the field of criminal psychology entitled “Dark number of crimes – crimes against women” which will take place on 18th November 2019 at the SWPS University in Katowice. Polish Platform for Homeland Security is pleased to be a partner and a patron of this event.
The conference concerns the dark crime statistics; namely, those incidents which are not included in the crime statistics. During the meeting, we will discuss difficult to detect criminal events such as disappearances, psychological and physical violence and other crimes remaining undisclosed or incorrectly categorized by the criminal law, or even sometimes, the social perception.
Among the speakers invited to the event, we will guest the scientists, representatives of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), representatives of the governmental and non-governmental organizations, journalists dealing with the dark crime statistics, as well as, the representatives of companies specializing in this topic.
The meeting is addressed to students of the faculties related to security, representatives of LEAs, scientists and practitioners involved in fight against crime and assistance to the victims of crimes, people engaged in crime prevention and its combating, psychologists, social workers, criminologists, as well as, specialists from care and educational centers.
