Effective border management requires the continuous improvement of the tools and working methods used by the Border Guard. A new conference co-organised by the PPHS aims to create a platform for exchanging expectations and experience, and to shorten the path to innovation.
More than 3,500 kilometres of state border—including land and maritime borders as well as sections that form the external border of the European Union—constitute an area of everyday operational challenges related, among others, to cross-border crime, migration flows and hybrid threats. Given the scale and dynamics of these challenges, there is a growing need in the field of border management to create a space for direct dialogue and the exchange of knowledge between representatives of the Border Guard, other services and institutions, technology providers and academia.
This is why we are expanding our conference portfolio with BorderSec. Border Management – New Technologies. The event will be dedicated to solutions supporting surveillance, detection and response in border protection. The conference will combine the perspective of services facing challenges in the field of border management with the potential of the technology market.
The conference will focus, among others, on:
- Technologies supporting surveillance, detection and response in border protection, including counter-drone solutions.
- The use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in predictive analytics and threat detection.
- IoT sensors for perimeter protection and biometrics in identity verification processes.
- Platforms for securing and confirming data authenticity.
The first edition of the conference will take place on 24–25 June 2026 in Koszalin. The event is organised by the Polish Platform for Homeland Security and the Border Guard Academy in Koszalin.
Registration for the event is now open. Representatives of the Border Guard, other services, public administration, academia and companies offering technologies and solutions for border security are encouraged to register. The number of places is limited. Participation will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to representatives to whom the Organisers have sent direct invitations.
We encourage you to read the full information about the event and participation options. Registration forms are available on the event website: https://ppbw.pl/en/bordersec-conference/
We look forward to seeing you at the conference!
