Strengthening our partnerships is always a source of satisfaction, but this particular case is especially significant to us. We are pleased to announce a new cooperation agreement signed on Tuesday, 8 October, between the Police Commander-in-Chief, Chief Superintendent Marek Boron, representing the Polish Police, and Rashel Talukder, director of the Polish Platform for Homeland Security (PPHS).
From its inception, the PPHS has been closely aligned with the Polish Police. In 2005, it was at the initiative of the Polish Police that Law Enforcement Agencies engaged with the academic and scientific community, ultimately leading to the establishment of the Polish Platform for Homeland Security, under the leadership of Professor Emil W. Pływaczewski and the late Dr Zbigniew Rau.
Over the years, the significance of this newly formed institution in the advancement of Polish services has become increasingly evident. Transforming the platform into an association, actively participating in national and European projects, and organising meetings, training sessions, and conferences have all been pivotal in its development. Today, the Polish Platform stands as a notable institution, not only within Poland but also on the international stage. Its vigorous efforts to enhance internal security in the region have fostered trust among partners, resulting in an expanding network of contacts. A prime example of this is the European Network of Law Enforcement Technology Services (ENLETS), where we serve as the secretariat.
In this context, the signed agreement represents both a significant milestone and a natural progression in our organisational development. It serves as official proof of the trust the Polish Police has placed in us and presents a challenge that we are committed to meeting. Through this agreement, the PPHS will support the Police in initiatives aimed at enhancing public safety and order, particularly through the implementation of innovative technological, organisational, and legal solutions. Furthermore, we will leverage our resources to facilitate the exchange of best practices and experiences between Poland and other European Union countries, thereby contributing to the advancement of our services. One of our initial priorities will be to actively support the Consultation and Advisory Forum established by the Police Chief Commandant.
This agreement holds symbolic significance as well. The 20th anniversary of the Polish Platform for Homeland Security is on the horizon, and embarking on our third decade of activity in closer collaboration with the Polish Police reaffirms that our dedication to our entrusted tasks is recognised, valued, and yielding tangible results.

Dołączyłem do Platformy w listopadzie 2017 roku.
I’ve been working at PPHS since November 2017. For a long time, I was responsible for implementing both international and national security projects. As PPHS developed and the Communication Department was established, I was promoted to a role focused entirely on communication.
I currently serve as the Communication & Dissemination Manager for EU-funded security projects. My responsibilities also include managing the online channels run by PPHS and supporting the team with ongoing tasks.
I have a broad set of skills, enabling me to handle a variety of tasks such as content creation (texts, photos, videos), communication and process planning, community and relationship building, as well as managing online platforms.
