A publication under the patronage of the PPHS: “Preventive measures. Planning and implementation”

We would like to inform you that the book of Dr. Marzena Kordaczuk-Was titled “Preventive measures. Planning and implementation” was published under the patronage of the Polish Platform for Homeland Security.
The book is a manual of police social prevention and was written in response to the needs expressed by Police officers. The objective of the book is to indicate methods of preparation and coordination of preventive measures, taking into account the applicable laws. The author also indicates how to select appropriate partners and specialists to guarantee effective implementation of the adopted objectives.
Currently there are no publications on the topic of design of police prevention programs intended to counter negative social phenomena. Consequently, the publication was much-awaited by both police officers and representatives of other professions.
Dr. Marzena Kordaczuk-Was is holds a PhD in social sciences and specializes in sociology of security. For eighteen years, she served in the Polish Police in the area of social prevention. Currently, she works at the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) in Budapest.
