2nd edition of the POLSECURE fair
Weapons, drones, specialized clothing or telescopes – these are just some of the tools needed by public services every day. This type of equipment is not readily available to everyone. So how do public institutions provide their officers with the necessary equipment?
Certainly, there are at least a several ways to get acquainted with the offer of individual manufacturers, but the POLSECURE fair was one of the most convenient of them. The three-day event in Kielce, taking place on April 25-27, was an opportunity to familiarise with the latest technological solutions in the field of security. So far, this is just the second edition, and you can already see that interest is growing at a fast pace – this year the exhibition was visited by 36 delegations from 27 countries. In total, 141 companies and organizations from Poland and abroad presented their products and services. Among others, there were the stands of the “Łucznik” arms factory, the SONY brand or the Polish Border Guard.
However, POLSECURE is much more than a presentation of equipment. Visitors had the opportunity to contact the representatives directly, which gives hope for fruitful cooperation in the future. In addition, presentations, seminars and discussion panels were held during the fair, for example on the development of innovation and building human capital in the context of combating cybercrime. There were also attractions! The Security Department of the Border Guard demonstrated work with the use of a trained dog, and the Police Headquarters prepared a spectacular show of the skills of the Motorcycle Honorary Assistance.
The event was valuable not only for the public services, but also for us! Due to the regular cooperation with public institutions dealing with security, it is important for us to have a good knowledge of market innovations. The Polish Platform for Homeland Security is involved in numerous activities conducive to introducing innovations to the Polish Police and its European counterparts. That is why we are happy to support all activities that follow the same path and we try to facilitate establishing contacts between our partners from other countries and Polish institutions. We went to POLSECURE together with members of the thematic working group in the field of public order of the ENLETS network.
